cGas-SC Self Contained Detector for small size workshops
The cGas Detector Analog Transmitter is a versatile and low-maintenance gas monitoring device designed for non-explosion-rated, commercial applications. It is suitable for detecting a wide range of gases, including Ammonia, Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Chlorine, Ethylene, Ethylene Oxide, Formaldehyde, Hydrogen, Hydrogen Fluoride, Hydrogen Sulphide, Nitric Oxide, Nitrogen Dioxide, Oxygen, Ozone, Sulfur Dioxide, and various refrigerants, TVOCs, and combustible gases like Methane and Propane.

Applications for the cGas Detector span numerous industries and settings, such as parking facilities, vehicle repair shops, ice arenas, swimming pools, refrigeration rooms, battery charging areas, manufacturing plants, greenhouses, CO2 storage or refrigeration systems, microdistilleries, chemical plants, sewage treatment facilities, and beauty product manufacturing. The cGas Detector features a 4-20 mA analog output or jumper-selectable 0-10 or 2-10 volts. Its bright LCD display offers easy readability, and its Plug & Play Smart Sensor technology ensures effortless replacement with pre-calibrated sensors at the end of their lifespan. Additional options include internal SPDT dry contact relays (with or without an internal buzzer), a low-temperature operation package, and a factory-installed splash guard for added protection.

Firmware upgrades and configuration changes can be made via the integrated USB port, and the device’s Sensor Calibration Extending Firmware (CEF) enhances calibration longevity in applications such as parking facilities. Housed in a standard water- and dust-tight, corrosion-resistant ABS/polycarbonate enclosure with a hinged door, the detector is IP54 rated with the optional splash guard for protection in water spray or washdown environments.The cGas Detector is powered by 24 VDC or ground-referenced AC and features temperature compensation for improved reliability. It is RoHS-compliant and intended for non-classified areas. For classified areas requiring explosion-proof monitoring, the CXT2 Explosion Proof products are recommended alternatives.
