DustTrak Environmental Monitor 8540

The DustTrak™ Environmental Monitor 8540 is a data-logging, light-scattering laser photometer designed to provide real-time aerosol mass readings, measuring PM1, PM2.5, respirable, PM10, and total PM size fractions. It is built for use in harsh outdoor environments, industrial workplaces, construction sites, and environmental monitoring applications. The monitor features a sheath air system that isolates the aerosol in the optics chamber to maintain clean optics, ensuring reliable and low-maintenance performance. It also includes a robust design with an enhanced optics module, automatic zeroing to minimize zero drift, and a long-lasting, field-replaceable pump with a lifespan of over 10,000 hours.

With a measurement range of 0.001 to 400 mg/m³, the DustTrak 8540 is capable of performing in-line gravimetric analysis for custom reference calibrations. It supports manual and programmable data logging, and its built-in Heated Inlet Sample Conditioner reduces humidity effects on measurements. The monitor is listed on the South Coast AQMD pre-approved list for Rule 1466 and is available with MCERTS certification for PM10, PM2.5, or both in the UK.Applications include outdoor environmental monitoring, community air monitoring plans (CAMP), emissions monitoring, aerosol research studies, and indoor air quality investigations (when an enclosure is needed).The unit comes with TrakPro™ data analysis software, DustTrak Environmental checkout software, USB cables, calibration certificates, and a 2-year warranty.
