Sampling Media & Accessories

Sensidyne provides a wide range of sampling media and accessories for capturing airborne substances. These materials are available either as individual components or as pre-loaded cassettes, which include filters and support pads.

 

While the specific selection of cassette size and filter membrane should be based on the NIOSH sampling guide, the following general rules apply:

• Dusts, fumes, and powders sampling: Use a 37mm filter and cassette.

• Asbestos and fibers sampling: Use a 25mm filter and cassette.

• Dust sampling: Use a 0.5-micron PVC filter membrane.

• Heavy metal (e.g., lead fume) sampling: Use a 0.8-micron MCE (mixed ester of cellulose) filter membrane.*
