Contamination Technology Corporation
CTC manufactures a complete range of Gas Phase Adsorbers and Bag in/Bag out Isolation Housings. Specializing in both standard and custom filtration systems, CTC has been designing and manufacturing Gas Phase Adsorbers and Bag in/Bag out Housings since 1994 to meet a variety of industry needs. With a CTC-designed filtration system, clients benefit from over 15 years of expertise in filtration systems and standards, compatibility with most manufacturers' products, and design innovation for both standard and specialized applications. CTC also offers specification assistance, custom system design, product testing and documentation, and research and development support to ensure comprehensive and tailored solutions.

CTC’s B1 Series Housings are designed for use in biologically hazardous applications, providing a secure environment that minimizes exposure to harmful contaminants during filter change-out. By incorporating a PVC bag system, these housings isolate personnel from contact with dirty filters, ensuring safety and cleanliness during maintenance.

A variety of geometries are available, accommodating configurations with prefilters, HEPA filters, and carbon adsorbers. All B1 Series Housings are manufactured from 14-gauge and 12-gauge Type 304 stainless steel, with an option for Type 316 for enhanced corrosion resistance. The housings are designed to accommodate standard gasketed HEPA filters and 2-inch prefilters, with gel seals available as an alternative. Every pressure boundary is continuously seam welded, and all weld procedures and welders are qualified in accordance with ASME BPVC, Section IX. Furthermore, the entire housing and seal face are tested at 10 inches WC in compliance with ASME N510-1995 reaffirmed standards.

Multi-wide housings are equipped with a filter removal rod to facilitate easy filter change-out, and each filter access port is provided with a PVC change-out bag. Positive seal clamping mechanisms exert a minimum force of 1200 lbs on each filter, ensuring a secure and effective seal. The design also incorporates static pressure taps across the door and maintains a minimum upstream and downstream flange width of 1½ inches.

All B1 Series Housings are manufactured in accordance with ASME NQA-1 requirements. Common accessories include transitions, weather caps, gauges, dampers, test sections, ports, and skid systems, making these housings a comprehensive solution for challenging filtration applications.
Bag-in/Bag-out Containment Housing
Bag-In/Bag-Out air filter housings are designed for safely filtering particulates or gases harmful to the environment and hazardous to human health. This bagging method allows for the safe removal of contaminated filters and adsorbers by isolating them from both the environment and personnel performing the procedure. CTC’s Bag-In/Bag-Out housings follow ASME N-510 standards, the recognized benchmark for designing and testing containment filtration systems.

CTC employs a strict quality assurance program that aligns with ASME NQA-1 criteria and the ASME N510 standard. Systems are thoroughly tested, including the filter seal area and entire system assembly, using the Pressure Decay Method per ASME N510-1995 standards. Each unit undergoes monitoring for at least fifteen minutes and a soap bubble test along all seams and gaskets. CTC strives for zero leakage systems and guarantees an industry-standard leakage rate of 0.0005 CFM per cubic foot for both seal face and total system.
CTC’s Bag-In/Bag-Out Containment Housing options include:

-
Bag-in/Bag-out Housing with a 2" prefilter, 12" HEPA, and isolation dampers
-
Bag-in/Bag-out Housing with a 2" prefilter, 12" HEPA, isolation dampers, and test section
-
Bag-in/Bag-out Housing with a 2" to 6" prefilter, 12" HEPA, and isolation dampers
-
Multi-Stage Bag-in/Bag-out Housing with isolation dampers
-
Multi-Stage single-tier Bag-in/Bag-out Housing with prefilter, HEPA, carbon adsorber, and isolation dampers
