Rigel Life Sciences

Rigel Life Sciences has established and upheld a strong reputation for excellence within the market, providing quality products and services to leading corporations and institutions where full compliance is essential.

The instruments offered by Rigel Life Sciences encompass various aspects of contamination control, including microbiological sampling devices designed for low-contamination environments, a comprehensive range of instruments for aerosol generation and integrity testing of HEPA and ULPA absolute filters, and smoke generators for airflow visualization and control.

Rigel RI7001

The RI7001 Photometer is designed for testing the integrity and checking for leakages or breakages in high-efficiency filter systems, including HEPA and ULPA filters. Using a light scattering method, the Rigel RI7001 provides real-time integrity verification by detecting aerosol concentration upstream and downstream.

The photometer features a 3.5” LCD on the base unit that offers a clear interface, displaying sample concentration in real-time and frequency modes. It also includes a 2.8” LCD screen on the scanning probe attachment, which keeps sample data within the operator’s line of sight, enhancing convenience during operation. For portability, the unit is supplied with a pressurized trolley shipping case. Data transfer is facilitated through a USB connection, and a thermal printer is included to document samples for test or validation reports. The RI7001 comes with a one-year limited warranty for added assurance.

In terms of functionality, the device is equipped with settable audible and visual alarms that alert users when defined set-points are exceeded. It includes a vacuum pump, which ensures a constant airflow of 1 CFM (28.3 liters/min). The solenoid valve system allows flow selection between three sources: CLEAR, which samples through an absolute filter for reference zero detection; UPSTREAM, which samples at the filter entrance; and DOWNSTREAM, which samples at the filter exit.

The electro-optical scattering chamber contains a luminous source for particle radiation, an optical system to collect light scattered by particles on a photomultiplier tube, and an electronic system that includes a signal amplifier, analogue-digital converter, microprocessor, display, keypad, and power supply unit.

The RI7001 Photometer is suitable for various applications, including clean rooms, laminar flow hoods, safety cabinets, glove boxes, HEPA vacuum cleaners, HVAC systems, HEPA and ULPA filters, filtration units, negative pressure operating rooms, and collective protection filters.
