Biologically Engineered Adsorbent Scrubber Technology (BEAST)

This Multi-Stage Scrubber technology combines a bioscrubber and a polishing adsorber in one advanced system, utilizing an innovative design that integrates the renewable capacity of biological scrubbers with the precise efficiency of chemical adsorbent dry scrubbers.

This results in the removal of 99.9% of high levels of hydrogen sulfide (Hâ‚‚S) and other gases. The system features an advanced biomedium with a lifespan exceeding 10 years, alongside fully remote monitoring and notification systems, inlet, intermediate, and outlet Hâ‚‚S sensors, and minimal maintenance requirements.

Designed to fit varied operational needs, the system offers multiple models with airflow capacities ranging from 1,300 to 15,000 CMH (750 to 9,000 CFM) and configurations to suit different footprints. It effectively removes over 300 ppm of Hâ‚‚S, making it an unparalleled solution in its class.

At the heart of the bioscrubber is the Sulphasorb Si™ (SSi) substrate, used in the BEAST™ Bioscrubber. SSi, made from recycled glass, is easy to install, highly porous with a surface area of 4695 m²/m³, resistant to high acidity, and environmentally friendly, providing a conducive environment for odor-eating bacteria to thrive. It boasts a durability of at least 10 years, making it both cost-effective and sustainable.

Impregnated Activated

Drum Scrubber (DS)

The Drum Scrubber (DS) is an economical and durable deep-bed system designed for wastewater odor removal. It is known for its low maintenance, making it easy to replace and dispose of spent media. The system accommodates an airflow range from 0 CMH (0 CFM) to 2,123.7 CMH (1,250 CFM) and is constructed from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as standard, with optional materials such as stainless steel and fiberglass-reinforced plastic available.

For particulate filtration and odor control applications, the DS features a mist and grease filter, a 5 cm (2 in) 30% MERV 8 prefilter, and a 15 cm (6 in) 95% MERV 13 final filter, with other filter sizes and options available upon request. The system supports multiple beds for various adsorbent media, which are detailed further in the media brochure.

The unit also includes a metal media bed indicator, positioned at an angle against the airflow direction, designed to detect when the media has expired. A dark, corroded coloration on the indicator will show where media has depleted. When half the device is corroded, it is time to contact the factory for media replacement. For enhanced monitoring, an electronic media bed monitor (EBMv2) upgrade is available to provide instant notifications of media life status. Multiple sizes and configurations available.

Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS)

PureAir’s Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS), used in conjunction with Safetysorb adsorbent media, provides a reliable safety measure for managing hazardous gas leaks. It serves as a critical line of defense for facilities that handle toxic gases like chlorine and ammonia, which pose significant risks to employee safety in case of a leak. The EGS system is filled with Safetysorb media and remains on standby, ready to adsorb and neutralize harmful gases during emergencies, minimizing toxic gas emissions.

Once a gas leak is detected, the EGS immediately captures the escaping toxic gases, preventing them from reaching employees, the community, or the environment. As the gases pass through Safetysorb media, they are neutralized, releasing only clean air. Safetysorb reacts with the harmful gases and produces a harmless by-product, which can be safely disposed of as non-hazardous solid waste.

The EGS comes in six models—EGS-150, EGS-300, EGS-707, EGS-8, EGS-808, and EGS-10—with airflow capacities ranging from 1,070 to 7,800 CMH (CFM), depending on the model. For more details and specific technical specifications, click on "learn more."

V-Bank Transition System (VTS)

The V-Bank Transition System (VTS) is designed to achieve the highest airflow while removing up to 99.5% of unwanted gases from the air. This system is ideal for applications such as protecting electronics, controlling wastewater odors, and managing environmental emissions. Its airflow capacity ranges from 5,900 CMH (3,500 CFM) to 71,350 CMH (42,000 CFM), making it highly adaptable to different operational needs.

In terms of particulate filtration, it features mist and grease filters for odor control. Other filtration applications include a 5 cm (2 in) 30% MERV 8 prefilter and a 15 cm (6 in) 95% MERV 13 final filter, with additional filter sizes and options available upon request.

The VTS offers two blower configurations: DRAWTHRU, which is the standard option and prolongs blower life with reduced maintenance, and BLOWTHRU, which provides a quieter operation. Redundant blowers and other specialized options are also available.

Customization options include Full “V” and Half “V” configurations. A full “V” includes two beds, while a half “V” has one bed, with each bed capable of holding multiple banks of media for enhanced performance.

Key benefits of the VTS include bulk loading and unloading capabilities, a horizontal footprint that suits spaces with limited height but requires high airflow, and a compact design with large airflow capacity and low resistance. Multiple media banks are available for each bed, further enhancing the system’s versatility and efficiency.
