Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS)

PureAir’s Emergency Gas Scrubber (EGS), used in conjunction with Safetysorb adsorbent media, provides a reliable safety measure for managing hazardous gas leaks. It serves as a critical line of defense for facilities that handle toxic gases like chlorine and ammonia, which pose significant risks to employee safety in case of a leak. The EGS system is filled with Safetysorb media and remains on standby, ready to adsorb and neutralize harmful gases during emergencies, minimizing toxic gas emissions.

Once a gas leak is detected, the EGS immediately captures the escaping toxic gases, preventing them from reaching employees, the community, or the environment. As the gases pass through Safetysorb media, they are neutralized, releasing only clean air. Safetysorb reacts with the harmful gases and produces a harmless by-product, which can be safely disposed of as non-hazardous solid waste.

The EGS comes in six models—EGS-150, EGS-300, EGS-707, EGS-8, EGS-808, and EGS-10—with airflow capacities ranging from 1,070 to 7,800 CMH (CFM), depending on the model. For more details and specific technical specifications, click on "learn more."
